Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:

Venue information (displayed publicly on the platform):

• Venue name, address and location
• Contact details (phone, email, website, social media links)
• Technical specifications (stage size, capacity, equipment)
• Photos of your venue and performance spaces
• Accessibility information
• Preferred genres, performance schedules and any other details you choose to share
• The name of the Traditional Country your venue is located on

Your personal details (kept private and not displayed on the platform):

• Your name
• Email address

We collect this information directly from you when you register or manage a venue listing, contact us, or sign up to hear from us.

We use your information to:

• Create and display your venue listing on the AMTN platform
• Stay in touch with you about your listing and AMTN news and updates
• Improve the platform over time
• Respond to your questions and feedback
• Meet our legal and reporting obligations

We only share your information when we need to. That might include:

• Our platform provider, who hosts and operates the AMTN website. They are based in Australia, and your data is held on Australian servers.
• AMIN’s state and territory peak body members, where relevant to running the platform
• Legal authorities, if required by law

We will never sell, rent or share your personal information for commercial purposes.

You’re in control of your information. Here are some actions you can take:

• Update your listing: Venue representatives can update their listing directly through the platform at any time.
• Remove your profile: You can cancel your Artist or Venue profile at any time by logging in and following prompts.
• Opt out of communications: Contact us directly, or delete your profile, to opt out.
• Make a complaint: If you think we’ve mishandled your information, please contact us with the details. We’ll first acknowledge your message in writing and then come back to you with what we found and what we’ll do about it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can take your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, misuse, or loss. That said, no internet transmission is completely risk-free, and so we can’t offer an absolute guarantee on information sent to us online.

We only hold your information for as long as we need it, either practically or legally. If you’d like us to remove information we hold about you, get in touch at info@amin.org.au and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

We may use tools such as Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the AMTN platform. This helps us improve the platform over time. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. If you don’t want to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

AMTN links to external websites. Once you leave our platform, this Privacy Policy no longer applies.
